What  We Believe

St. Paul Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) and is committed to being:

  • strongly in the Word.  We are a church that honors the Bible as the written Word of God—the very voice of Jesus.
  • Christ-centered and people sensitive.  Our focus is on Jesus Christ and His presence among us.  We want to serve others as God has loved and served us in Jesus Christ.
  • a bold messenger of the Gospel.  We strive to carry out our Lord's command tp make known His love and forgiveness to the whole world.
  • faithful to the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  As proclaimed by Martin Luther, the great Christian Reformer of the 16th century, the Bible’s most important message is that Christ came into the world to save sinners, and lived among us to defeat our enemies—sin, death and the devil.   Thru the Lutheran Reformation, the truth of God’s Word and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preserved. The official statements of Lutheran Belief – the Lutheran Confessions  are gathered together in "The Book of Concord” (1580, the historic doctrinal standards of the Lutheran Church)
  • marked by peace and unity in the Lord. We are united by our union with the living Lord Jesus Christ and our common confession of the truths of His Word.  We rejoice in the faith our Lord has given and share the Gospel message with others so that all may know true peace and joy and have life forever in Jesus Christ.
